Roofing in California, KY and the Towns Around It

We work on homes in California and the surrounding towns. Wherever you live, the call works the same way. You get a free roof inspection, a clear picture of what your roof needs now and later, and time to budget for it before anything turns urgent.

Towns we cover

Our home base is California, and we regularly work in Alexandria, Claryville, Cold Spring and Highland Heights. We also travel to homeowners in New Richmond, Amelia, Withamsville, Summerside, Forestville and Dry Run. If your town is close by but not on this list, ask when you call. We will tell you plainly whether we can get to you.

The work is the same in every town. We look at your roof, gutters and siding, take photos of anything that needs attention, and sort it into what should happen this season and what can wait a year or two. That turns a roof replacement into a line in your budget instead of a surprise after a storm. Roof repair, storm damage repair and gutter work follow the same approach, so you always know what is coming.

What homes around here have in common

Freeze and thaw winters
Winters here swing above and below freezing, sometimes in the same week. Water that sits under a lifted shingle or behind a clogged gutter freezes, expands and opens the gap a little more each time. Spring and summer thunderstorms add wind and the occasional hail. A fall inspection catches loose shingles and worn flashing before that cycle starts.
A wide range of housing ages
Older homes with a few decades behind them sit alongside newer subdivisions. Older roofs can hide a second layer of shingles or decking that has softened around chimneys and vents. Newer roofs usually show their first trouble at flashing, pipe boots and valleys. We price for what is actually on your home and tell you which parts are likely to need work in the next few years.
Permits and local rules
Permit rules differ from one city and county to the next, and towns across the river follow their own codes. Where a reroof or siding job needs a permit, we pull it and line up the inspection, so you are not left calling the office yourself. If you have an HOA, mention it early and we will match colors to what it allows.
Leaves, gutters and siding
Mature trees are common, and fall leaves fill gutters fast. Overflowing gutters soak fascia boards and splash dirt onto lower siding. Checking and adjusting your gutters before winter is a small job that protects your roof edges and your siding.
When to schedule
Late summer and fall fill up quickly. Calling in spring for a fall project gives you time to compare options, set money aside and pick a date that suits your family.
